1962 - The Rolling Stones

The Rolling Stones are a rock band formed in London in 1962. The original band consisted of Brian Jones, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Bill Wyman, Charlie Watts, and Ian Stewart. The Rolling Stones were at the forefront of the British invasion of bands that became popular in the US in 1964, and identified with the counterculture of the 1960’s. Hits included Satisfaction, Paint it Black, Lady Jane, and Ruby Tuesday, and many more. The Rolling Stones were one of the biggest touring bands in the world during the 1960’s and 1970’s

The Rolling Stones have released 55 albums, and sold over 200 million records worldwide during their 45-year career.
